It's An Info Post!

"My mother's not a barrel of laughs when she doesn't get her way."

After the events of Beauty and the Beast when Beast became human and married Belle, he decided to create a big change in the world. He created the United Sates of Auradon and enticed/encouraged other lands outside of his own kingdom to join him. All of the realms that joined with his would see peace and prosperity and if anyone had an issue with his decree about no magic use except for someone like Fairy Godmother in great times of need, no one really said it out loud.

They also didn't hide their magic use in their own realms, but that isn't important to the story.

In addition to creating the United States if Auradon, he also created the Isle of the Lost. It was pretty much a prison island with no escape. There was a barrier that prevented the use of magic on the island and immense poverty was the norm of the Isle. He would arrange for deliveries of food and supplies, but the food was mostly rotten discards and the supplies weren't really useful.

Along with all of the known villains to still be in existence and working their magic and their schemes being imprisoned there, King Beast also did something unexpected. He brought back villains who had died or been destroyed and imprisoned them on the Isle as well.

Because he was awesome like that.

And then, well then he turned his back and ignored the Isle for the most part.

Years went by and he had a son with his beloved wife and taught him all about being a king and taking care of your people. But not really all of your people.

On the Isle, children were born as well. Children who had committed no crime beyond that of having villains for parents. Their lives were not the best and many of them lived in fear of their own parents and could only rely on themselves -- and sometimes friends that they met and bonded with. Because of what King Beast had created, many of the Villain Kids grew up hating him and everyone in Auradon. Why wouldn't they? They had been abandoned and forgotten and forced to make a living however they could because of what had been done long before any of them were born. They went to school learning things to help them survive or overpower each other on the Isle and they dealt with their circumstances in their own ways.

And then, Prince Ben, Beast and Belle's son came of age. He was going to be the next king of Auradon and he wanted to do something that he hoped would set the tone for the rest of his rule.

He wanted to bring kids from the Isle to Auradon to give them a better life.

He'd start with four: the children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella DeVil. His father wasn't in support of this but Ben was adamant that it was the right thing to do.

And that is how Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos DeVil ended up leaving the Isle of the Lost and visiting Auradon.

"Of course I'm mad at you. You're my best friend and you don't treat best friends like that."

Evie is a girl who is smart, flirty, and very kind in the long run. Unlike most of the villain kids, she is very pleasant, to the point that she was able to make the sourest villains smile with her laughter at her sixth birthday party. She loved the pirates and Gaston's boys as they always made her smile. Her smiles and happiness would, therefore, rub off on the villains.

Don't let her charm fool you, Evie is loyal and authoritative when she wants to be. Due to her mother's insistence that being beautiful is all that matters, Evie has had problems with her own vanity and is sensitive to how others view her; her biggest fear was her not ending up being the fairest of all. While she wishes to find a perfect prince for herself, she is not foolish to fall for a prince who looks nice but has an ugly personality. (This was something that was made very clear when she rejected Chad Charming when she found out how arrogant he is and how self-centered.) She doesn’t like people who are purposefully cruel to others just because they have the power to be.

She is quite intelligent, especially in chemistry. Over the course of time in Auradon and going back and forth, she gains more self-confidence about herself and learns there is more to life than being the fairest of them all. She has gotten to the point of realizing that she doesn't need a prince to be happy. She has managed to embrace the fact that she has intelligence and goals that do not include having a marriage to a prince.

Evie has a big heart and has come to believe in a sense of justice -- something that she keeps fighting for now that she has found her own voice. She wants everyone to have a fair chance at a new life -- but most especially other kids on the Isle as their only crime was being born to known villains.

This big heart and believing that people can change is what led to her becoming Mal’s best friend -- even after Mal had been willing to allow her to fall victim to the curse to sleep for 1,000 years when they went searching for Maleficent's sceptre as part of a school project.

Evie wants to do things to make a change for people everywhere and she will never stop wanting to help those that need it and cannot help herself.

Evie is the daughter of the Evil Queen, so she has the ability to work powerful magic running through her veins. However, having lived all of her life in a place that was surrounded by a magic barrier that dampened all magic means that she hasn't had a lot of time to actually practice or work on the things that are a part of her.

Evie does have magic running through her blood, but she doesn't have control over any aspect of her powers since she has spent so much time on the Isle of the Lost. When she first came to Auradon, she was able to feel the power waking up and moving through her. She has started to secretly work with it -- because you have to hide it from Fairy Godmother -- but sometimes it can get a bit out of her control.

She is highly intelligent and can often solve riddles and puzzles on the fly. She is a natural when it comes to Chemistry and potion-making.

Evie is also a fashion designer and most of the clothing she -- and her close friends later -- wear are designs that she has created for them. It has been said that Evie can create a stunning item of clothing out of just about any material. Hand in hand with that is the talent and skill of make-up artistry. As her mother taught her from a very young age how to apply make-up and how looks were everything, it is no surprise that she is so good at creating looks for herself and others.

She is also very good with weapons like swords or knives. While it is not clear how she came to be such a good fighter it is assumed that her friendships with different villain kids and their families helped her pick up those skills.

"That's my friend you're messing with!"

Evie is going to be coming in from the end of Return to the Isle of the Lost. She’s not going to be too sure how she arrived at Fandom High instead of back in Auradon but knows that once Mal realizes what has happened Fairy Godmother will surely arrive to take her back to Auradon.

Except… the more Evie gets to know Fandom the less likely she is going to want to return home right away.

She's in a place where she's not only free to learn magic and embrace who she is but also a place that isn't going to automatically look down on her because of who her mother is.

However, she is also going to start out being really worried that if she does even something slightly wrong she'll be sent back to Auradon -- or worse!

Once she makes friends and gets used to adults actually being interested in real thoughts and actions that fear will gradually go away.

"I’m interested in new worlds, new universes, new challenges, tea, and sleep. Not necessarily in that order."

I'm Mylia and I started with Fandom High way back in 2005/2006 with Phoebe Halliwell as a Junior. Until shit happened two or two and a half years I had been with the game non-stop. I'm happy to be back in the groove, you have no idea. I might do an up to date info post for the ones that are still listed as Alumni or Townies to see what they've been up to.

Currently live in North Carolina and not really too much of a fan of it.

I have a son and holy shit guys, he is 23 NOW!!!

I'm a writer, or trying to be, and I write as much as I can. Health issues sometimes raise their head and I have to deal with them, but I can usually be found with a pen or my phone or tablet. (Trufax, I once wrote a 17,000 word story all on my phone during a trip because I was avoiding family conversation.) I can also be easily enabled or can enable others.

I work as a senior tech support advisor for Apple and boy can that be an enlightenng experience sometimes.
