"Great, another dark tunnel."

Evie had had just about enough of this searching for evil talismans. She understood why they needed to find them and hide them from her parents, but no one had prepared them for everything that they had been forced to go through. Now they were in caverns underground, and then a Dwarf Mine; and when it didn't seem like they were any closer to finding their way out of this: Surprise! Madame Mim dragon!

Because that was just what they needed to be dealing with right now.

Evie had her mother's talisman of the Golden Apple, but Mal didn't think that they should use the evil and powerful devices. (Not that they knew how powerful they might be.) Evie wasn't so sure they couldn't use them when they had no other way to defeat a giant dragon intent on destroying them.

Luckily, when they were trying to decide if it was worth the risk to save themselves and Auradon, Ben suddenly had Excalibur at Mim!Dragon's heart and Merlin had freed himself from the latest trap Mim had put him into.

It took no time for Merlin to send Madam Mim back to the Isle. However, they also needed to seal up the caverns they had found to keep anyone else from using it to escape to Auradon and cause havoc.

"There, it's permanently sealed. No one from from the Isle of the Lost will able to use it again." Merlin was confident in this, so of coure, they believed him. After all, he was Merlin.

"I hope those feeds we set up updated correctly," Evie said worriedly. "Right now we're all supposed to be in bed, sneezing from the flu."

"Merlin?" asked Ben. "Do you mind giving us a lift, just this once?"

"You make a good king, Ben," said Merlin. "And you were right in the end, we didn't need magic to capture the dragon. Only diligence and courage as you have shown."

"Thank you," said Ben. "That means a lot coming from you. Although we did need magic to send her back to the Isle of the Lost, and to close that passage. And to go home."

"Details, details," said Merlin with a smile. "Who reads the fine print these days."

"Bye, Merlin," said Mal, while the others waved.

Merlin rolled up his sleeves. "Return everyone here to where they need to be," said the wizard. Raising his wand for the last time in the incantation, he sent them all back where to where they belong.

Well, mostly.

Evie stood on the edge of what looked to be an immense lawn and everywhere she turned there were people. But these were people that she didn't recognize and a place she had never seen before.

"By evil, what happened? What did Merlin do?!"

This just would not do and Mal would freak out so much when she wasn't found. Evie started moving through the crowd to find someone in charge of this kingdom to contact Ben to bring her back home.
